- 8-10 flour tortillas, warmed
Optional Dipping and Garnish

Instructions
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with black pepper over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned, approximately 5 minutes. Add chopped garlic, grated ginger, and Chinese five spice, then cook for another minute. Pour in tamari or soy sauce and Thai chili sauce, simmer until the mixture is coated and heated through, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions, then remove from heat.
- Assemble the Rolls: Microwave each tortilla for 15 seconds to soften. Spoon a portion of the beef mixture down the center of each tortilla. Top with chopped cucumber, cilantro, basil, green onions, and peanuts. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll tightly to contain the ingredients. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Serve: Serve the rolls warm or at room temperature with extra soy sauce, chili paste, and toasted sesame oil on the side for dipping or drizzling. Optionally, serve with rice for a complete dinner.
Notes
- Homemade Thai Chili Sauce: Mix 1/3 cup honey, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1-2 tablespoons chili sauce, 2 teaspoons lime zest, 2 tablespoons lime juice, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons tamari, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, and 1 grated garlic clove. Shake or stir well and use as needed.
- Feel free to substitute ground chicken or pork for beef depending on preference.
- To enhance flavor, drizzle with toasted sesame oil before serving or add additional fresh herbs.
- This recipe is great for make-ahead lunches; prepare rolls in advance and keep covered in the refrigerator.
