- 2 medium to large yellow onions (or around 1 lb)
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
Instructions
- Peel and Slice: Peel the onions and cut them into thin round slices.
- Drizzle Oil: Drizzle the cooking oil over the onion slices and gently separate the rings.
- Air Fry: Place the onion rings in the air fryer basket. Fry initially at 300°F for 10 minutes. Gently mix the rings every 5 minutes.
- Adjust Temperature: Lower the temperature to 240°F and continue cooking. Mix the rings every 5 minutes. It will take 15-18 minutes at 240°F to achieve the desired color and texture.
Notes
- You can use red onions as well, but they will result in a darker color for the fried onions.
- Cooking times may vary based on the quantity of onions in the air fryer. Adjust cooking time as needed for larger batches.
