Description

Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Chickpeas make for a delicious and healthy snack or appetizer. These crunchy chickpeas are seasoned with a blend of aromatic spices and cooked to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15 ounce/400g) can chickpeas
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the Air Fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Chickpeas: In a medium-sized bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, paprika, cumin, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook Chickpeas: Place the chickpeas in the Air Fryer basket, and cook for 10 minutes shaking halfway through.
  4. Check Doneness: The chickpeas are done when they’re crunchy and no longer moist.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool, and eat at room temperature.

Notes

  • If you’re using canned chickpeas, then drain them well for crunchier chickpeas. You can rinse them if you like, use a colander to do that.
  • Shake the Air Fryer basket every 5 minutes.
  • The longer you cook the chickpeas for, the crunchier they will be but be careful not to burn them.
  • Feel free to change things up a little, and add different seasonings such as sweet paprika, curry powder, garlic powder, onion powder, herbs, etc.
