- 1 cup Buttermilk
For the Coating:
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 2/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/3 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried mustard
- 4 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 teaspoons white pepper
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (optional for crispier skin)
Instructions
- Soak the Chicken: Place chicken in buttermilk for up to 24 hours.
- Prepare Coating: Beat eggs in one bowl, mix flour and spices in another.
- Coat Chicken: Dredge chicken in flour, then eggs, then flour again.
- Set Up Air Fryer: Preheat to 390°F, place rack over a baking sheet.
