Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1/2 small white onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinating: Combine chicken, oil, and salt, then add cornstarch and coat evenly.
  2. Cooking: Air fry chicken until crispy. Meanwhile, prepare sauce. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, onion, and bell pepper. Add sauce, thicken, then add chicken. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Chicken thigh is recommended for juicy meat after air frying.
  • If using chicken breast, reduce air frying time by 3-4 minutes to prevent dryness.
