The Bahama Mama smoothie is a delightful tropical beverage that can be enjoyed as a mocktail or a cocktail. This refreshing drink combines the flavors of orange juice, pineapple juice, coconut water, and rum, creating a taste of the islands in every sip.

For the mocktail

  • 1 x 12 ounce container frozen orange juice
  • 1 x 12 ounce container frozen pineapple juice
  • 1 x 17 ounce can coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 2 cups ice
  • 6 ounces grenadine
  • Pineapple slices and cherries for garnish (optional)

For the cocktail

  • 1 x 12 ounce container frozen orange juice
  • 1 x 12 ounce container frozen pineapple juice
  • 1 x 17 ounce can coconut water or 2 cups plain water
  • 6 ounces white rum
  • 6 ounces coconut rum
  • 2 cups ice
  • 6 ounces grenadine
  • Pineapple slices and cherries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients except the ice and grenadine to the pitcher of a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Next, add the ice and blend again until the ice is fully crushed.

  3. Pour the mixture into glasses, then drizzle one ounce of grenadine on the side of each glass. Garnish with a pineapple slice and cherry before serving.
