Description

Create festive and delicious Christmas Chocolate Trees using dark and white chocolate, colorful sprinkles, and pretzel sticks. These charming edible decorations are perfect for holiday parties or as delightful gifts, combining the rich flavor of dark chocolate with a crunchy pretzel trunk and a snowy sprinkle finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Trees

  • 200 grams dark chocolate
  • 50 grams white chocolate
  • 1/4 cup mini colorful sprinkles
  • 8 pieces pretzel sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking tray: Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate trees from sticking during the setting process.
  2. Melt dark chocolate: Gently melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, stirring frequently until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Pipe tree shapes: Transfer the melted dark chocolate into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a small corner cut off. Pipe Christmas tree shapes onto the parchment paper, making each tree approximately 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide, ensuring the base overlaps a pretzel stick to form the tree trunk.
  4. Drizzle white chocolate: Melt the white chocolate using the same method as the dark chocolate and drizzle it artistically over the piped chocolate trees to create a snow effect.
  5. Add sprinkles: While the chocolate is still warm and wet, sprinkle mini colorful sprinkles over the trees for festive decoration.
  6. Allow to set: Let the trees set at room temperature or place them in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens and the trees can be handled easily.
  7. Remove and serve: Carefully peel the chocolate trees from the parchment paper and arrange them on a festive platter for serving or gifting.

Notes

  • Work quickly when piping and decorating to prevent the chocolate from setting too early.
  • Milk or white chocolate can be substituted for dark chocolate based on preference.
  • These chocolate trees can serve as charming edible gifts or decorative treats for holiday events.
