Description

Delightfully festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles made with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, coated in creamy white chocolate and decorated with red candy drizzle and green sanding sugar. Perfect for holiday parties or as a sweet seasonal treat, these easy-to-make truffles combine the nostalgic flavor of holiday cakes with the elegance of truffles.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons Festive sprinkles
  • 3 tablespoons Red candy melts (optional, for drizzling)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Base: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to mix the cakes until a crumbly dough forms, then fold in the festive sprinkles thoroughly.
  2. Form the Truffles: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the cake mixture and roll them between your palms into smooth balls. Place each cake ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all the mixture is used.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, or melt using a double boiler until smooth and fully melted.
  4. Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring they are entirely coated. Let the excess chocolate drip off before returning the coated truffles to the baking sheet.
  5. Melt Red Candy Melts: Place red candy melts in a piping bag or a sealable ziplock bag and microwave in 30-second intervals, massaging the bag between each heating, until fully melted.
  6. Decorate the Truffles: Snip the tip of the bag and drizzle the melted red candy melts over each truffle. Immediately sprinkle green sanding sugar on top for decoration.
  7. Set and Serve: Refrigerate the decorated truffles for a few minutes to allow the chocolate and decorations to set completely. Serve chilled and enjoy your festive treats!

Notes

  • For best results, chill the cake balls before dipping to help them hold their shape.
  • If you don’t have festive sprinkles, substitute with any holiday-themed sprinkles or colored sugar crystals.
  • Use any white chocolate of your choice, including vegan or dairy-free options if needed.
  • Store leftover truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Ensure candy melts do not overheat to avoid burning and grainy texture.
  • Using a double boiler can help control melting temperature more precisely than the microwave.
