Ingredients
Scale
For the Cinnamon Roll Bake
- 1 can Grands! Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- ⅓ cup (67g) packed brown sugar
For the Icing
- Icing from cinnamon rolls (reserved)
- 1 tablespoon orange juice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9-10 inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking during baking.
- Prepare Cinnamon Rolls: Open the can of cinnamon rolls and reserve the icing packet for later use. Slice each cinnamon roll into 6 pieces; they will fall apart somewhat, which is expected.
- Assemble Layers: In the prepared pie plate, layer pieces of cinnamon rolls alternately with fresh cranberries to evenly distribute the flavors.
- Make Brown Sugar Butter Topping: In a small bowl, stir together the melted unsalted butter and packed brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Pour Topping: Evenly pour the brown sugar and butter mixture over the layered cinnamon rolls and cranberries in the pie plate.
- Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30 to 34 minutes, or until the cinnamon roll pieces appear golden brown and are cooked through.
- Prepare Icing Drizzle: Stir the optional orange juice into the reserved icing packet until combined.
- Serve: Once baked, drizzle the orange juice-enhanced icing over the warm cinnamon roll bake. Serve immediately for the best taste.
- Store Leftovers: Store any leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Using fresh cranberries adds a tart contrast to the sweetness of the cinnamon rolls, but frozen cranberries can be substituted if fresh are unavailable.
- The optional orange juice in the icing adds a citrusy brightness that complements the cranberries nicely, but can be omitted if preferred.
- Ensure the baking dish is well greased to prevent sticking due to the sticky brown sugar and butter topping.
- This bake is best served warm straight from the oven for maximum gooeyness and flavor.
