For the Brownies:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest (2–3 lemons)
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Lemon Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Make Batter: Whisk flour and salt. Cream butter and sugar for 3-4 minutes. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in lemon zest, juice, and vanilla. Fold in the flour mixture.
- Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
- Glaze: Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice. Add lemon zest. Pour over cooled brownies. Let the glaze set for 30 minutes.
