Description

Garlic Butter Baked Tilapia is a simple and flavorful dish that is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. Tender tilapia fillets are seasoned with a savory garlic butter sauce and baked to perfection. This recipe is a delicious way to enjoy seafood with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

Tilapia fillets:

  • 4 tilapia fillets (6 ounces each)

Seasoning:

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Garnish:

  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh minced parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the fillets: Sprinkle the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper and place them in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the garlic butter sauce: In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and mix in garlic, paprika, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir in lemon juice and pour the sauce over the fish.
  3. Add lemon slices: Arrange lemon slices on top of the fillets.
  4. Bake: Bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes until the fish reaches 145°F internally and flakes easily.
  5. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with parsley, and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • Leftover baked tilapia can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F, covered with foil, until it reaches 165°F internally.
