Description

Greek Yogurt Jello is a creamy, refreshing dessert that combines the smooth tanginess of Greek yogurt with the sweet, fruity flavor of strawberry gelatin. Easy to make and perfect for a light treat, this no-bake dessert sets in the refrigerator and can be garnished with whipped cream and fresh strawberries for an elegant touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Mixture

  • 1 box (6 oz) strawberry Jello gelatin (or your favorite flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Dairy

  • 2 cups Greek Yogurt (whole milk preferred, vanilla or plain)

Optional Garnish

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Gelatin: In a large bowl, add the gelatin powder and pour in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir continuously for about two minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Add Greek Yogurt: Whisk in the Greek yogurt thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well combined without any lumps.
  3. Add Cold Water: Pour in 1 cup of cold water and stir gently to combine.
  4. Transfer and Chill: Pour the mixture into 8 individual serving dishes (about 6 oz each) or one medium serving bowl. Cover the dish(es) and refrigerate for approximately 4 hours or until the dessert is fully set.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries if desired for extra flavor and presentation.
  6. Storage: Cover and refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • You can substitute one 6 oz box of Jello with two 3 oz boxes if preferred.
  • For a lower sugar option, sugar-free Jello can be used.
  • Whole milk Greek yogurt yields the creamiest texture, but plain or non-fat Greek yogurt works as well.
  • Other garnish options include sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint to suit your taste.
