For the Panna Cotta:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 1/2 tsp unflavored gelatin (1 packet Knox gelatin)
  • 1 3/4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 3 limes, zest
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • Green food coloring (optional)

For the Topping:

  • 1 1/2 sheets graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Panna Cotta: Pour whole milk into a small bowl and sprinkle gelatin on top; set aside. In a medium saucepan, heat heavy cream until simmering. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract, sugar, lime zest, lime juice, salt, and food coloring. Mix well. Stir in the milk and gelatin mixture. Pour into ramekins.
  2. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
  3. Prepare the Topping: Melt butter in a bowl. Mix graham cracker crumbs with butter. Sprinkle crumbs on top of the set panna cotta. Garnish with lime slices.

  • You can adjust the sweetness by altering the amount of sugar used.
  • For a stronger lime flavor, add more lime zest.
