Description

These Melted Snowman Cookie Dough Bites are a delightful no-bake treat featuring creamy edible cookie dough coated in smooth white chocolate ganache, topped with homemade Oreo hat decorations, and festive sprinkles. Perfect for holiday parties or winter celebrations, the bites combine sweet, creamy, and crunchy textures in a fun snowman design.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups store-bought or homemade edible cookie dough

Decorations

  • 9 mini Oreos
  • 18 Rolo chocolate candies
  • 18 snowflake sprinkles (optional)
  • Black and orange pearl sprinkles, for decorating

Ganache

  • 2 cups (240 g) white chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Freeze cookie dough: Portion cookie dough into 1 tablespoon scoops on a parchment-lined baking sheet, aiming for 18 pieces. Freeze until the dough is very firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare Oreo hats: Separate the mini Oreos and carefully scrape off all the frosting. Set the Oreo halves aside for assembly.
  3. Melt white chocolate ganache: In a medium heatproof bowl, microwave the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 15-second intervals, stirring well between each, until fully melted and smooth, approximately 45 seconds to 1 minute total.
  4. Create ganache bases: Spoon 18 approximately 1-inch-diameter rounds of the melted ganache onto another parchment-lined baking sheet. These will serve as the bases for the cookie dough bites. You will have ganache left over for decorating.
  5. Assemble hats: Dip the smaller rounded end of each Rolo candy into the remaining ganache. Attach the dipped end to the flat side of an Oreo half to form a snowman hat. If using, dip snowflake sprinkles into ganache and attach them at the rim of the hat where the Oreo meets the Rolo candy.
  6. Coat cookie dough balls: Roll each frozen dough scoop into a smooth ball. Using a fork, dip one dough ball into the ganache to fully coat it, then gently press it onto a ganache round on the baking sheet. Before the chocolate sets, decorate the snowman’s face by placing two black sugar pearls as eyes, 3 to 4 black sugar pearls in a semicircle for the mouth, and one orange sugar pearl in the center as the nose. Finally, top the dough ball with the completed hat. Repeat for all dough balls.
  7. Set and serve: Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use edible cookie dough that is safe to eat raw, without eggs or raw flour.
  • You can substitute white chocolate chips with candy melts if preferred.
  • Keep the cookie dough bites refrigerated if not serving immediately to maintain firmness.
  • Snowflake sprinkles are optional but add a festive touch to the hats.
  • For best results, use small pearl sprinkles designed for decorating cookies.
