Cake:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
Butter Sauce:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Mix dry ingredients: Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Prepare batter: In a mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix in the dry ingredients.
- Bake cake: Pour batter into the pan and bake for 60 minutes.
- Make butter sauce: In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla. Heat until smooth.
- Finish cake: Poke holes in the cake, pour butter sauce, cool, then invert onto a plate. Top with caramel sauce and sea salt.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add chopped nuts to the cake batter.
