Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Trader Joe’s Salmon Pinwheels with spinach and feta. These pinwheels are a flavorful and nutritious meal option for any day of the week.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Air Fryer Instructions - No Foil:

  • 1 lb Trader Joe's Spinach Feta Pinwheels

Air Fryer Instructions - Foil Packet:

  • 1 lb Trader Joe's Spinach Feta Pinwheels

    Oven Instructions:

  • 1 lb Trader Joe's Spinach Feta Pinwheels

Instructions

  1. Air Fryer Instructions – No Foil: Place salmon pinwheel on lightly oiled tray or in basket. If cooking multiple pinwheels, ensure they are in a single layer and not touching. Air fry at 375 degrees F for 8-12 minutes depending on size, until the fish is cooked to at least 135 F in the thickest part. Fish will continue to cook as it rests to reach the USDA recommended 145 F.
  2. Air Fryer Instructions – Foil Packet: Place salmon pinwheel on a piece of aluminum foil. Form a packet by folding the foil together over the salmon and rolling the edges together. Place packet in air fryer. Air fry at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until the fish is cooked to 145 F in the thickest part.
  3. Oven Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place pinwheels on a greased or aluminum foil lined pan so they are not touching. Bake 15-20 minutes, until the fish reaches at least 135 F in the thickest part. Fish will continue to cook as it rests to reach the USDA recommended 145 F.

Notes

  • If using a temperature probe, place it in the thickest part of the salmon, making sure it is reading the fish temperature rather than the spinach and cheese filling.
  • With a foil packet, the fish effectively steams in the foil, cooking at a lower temperature than the oven or air fryer’s set temperature. Because of this, it does not increase in temperature much as it rests, so should be cooked to a full 145.
  • Cook time will vary slightly based on the weight of the pinwheel. If cooking two or more together, try to look for pinwheels of similar sizes in the store.
